For property, auto, workers' comp, and liability claims, prompt notification matters, so reach out as soon as you safely can.

How claim reporting works

When you report a claim through us, you get a real person on your side. We notify the carrier, an adjuster is assigned to your claim, and we stay in the loop to help things move along. You can also call your carrier directly using the numbers below — either way, let us know so we can support you.

Have this ready

  • Your policy number, if available
  • Date, time, and location of the loss
  • A brief description of what happened
  • Photos or documentation, if you have them
  • Names and contact info of anyone involved
After a loss

Your duties after a loss

To keep the claims process as smooth as possible, follow these steps after a loss. These are your duties as an insured.

If emergency services are needed, call 911 immediately.

Report

When it's safe to do so, report your claim to us or your insurance company as soon as possible. You can file on our website, through the Client Connect app, or by phone.

Document

Take photos and/or video of the damage before any changes are made, and share them with your adjuster. Gather details from everyone involved — but wait until the scene is clear if it's an emergency.

Mitigate

Take reasonable steps to prevent further loss — shutting off the water after a pipe burst, tarping a leaking roof, removing a tree, or calling a water and/or mold remediation company.

Detail

Keep receipts for any expenses related to the damage. If you can, hold onto replaced components (like a broken pipe) or photograph them so the carrier can inspect them if needed.

Cooperate

Communicate promptly and provide any documents your adjuster requests. Allow access to the property as needed by the carrier, its representatives, or remediation companies.
