We Care

We care about local Michigan organizations

Being part of Michigan means showing up for it. Driven by our passion for giving back, our We Care program supports local organizations through fundraising events and donations — and the company matches what our team gives. It's one more way being locally owned shows up in everything we do.

How we give back

We Care is an employee-driven initiative across our Top O' Michigan and Spire team, and it runs all year — not just at the holidays. Our people choose where the giving goes, and the company matches their generosity so every contribution stretches further across Michigan.

Matched giving

We match our team's casual-Friday donations so every dollar they give goes further.

Quarterly causes

Employees nominate and vote on the local nonprofits we support each quarter.

Fundraising events

We host and join fundraising events across Michigan throughout the year.

Paid volunteer day

Every employee gets one paid day each year to volunteer for a cause they love.
